Lorenzo joined Zcube at the beginning of 2008.
Lorenzo has a degree in Biological Sciences obtained at Università degli Studi di Milano with a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. During his career, Lorenzo was trained in biochemistry, pharmacology and business development.
Lorenzo joined Zambon Group in 1992 Senior Researcher in Pharmacology. Then, he served since 1996 as Senior Project Manager for Clinical Development in the field of cardiovascular, respiratory and anti-infective areas. Lorenzo moved to the business arena in 1999 to become responsible for International Licensing at corporate level. From 2003 to 2008, Lorenzo served as EU Sales and Business Development Director at Cardinal Health Inc., now Catalent Inc. During such period he established different collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotech companies also based on Drug Delivery Systems.
Project Development Manager
Francesco Joined Zcube at the beginning of 2003. Francesco has a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Milan.
With more than 30 years pharmaceutical industry experience, Francesco acquired a solid background in R&D and innovation management. Francesco joined Zambon Group in 1989 becoming Head of Pharmacology Group since 1992. During this period he covered different roles both in Research and Development co-ordinating cross-functional projects teams for the development of new candidate compounds up to clinical evaluations. In 2003 he joined Zcube with responsibility of scouting and selection of projects as well as business plan preparation, gaining significant experience in due diligence process and management of diversified external collaborations.
Project Development Manager
Evina joined Z-Cube at the beginning of 2010.
She is graduated as Pharmaceutical Chemist at Milan (Italy) University, with a specialization in Design and synthesis of new drugs. Evina has also a Master’s degree in Biotechnology Business from Fondazione CUOA (Vicenza).
Evina worked in Cell Therapeutics (Seattle based Biotech Company) as Finished Product Specialist engaged for regulatory issues (FDA, EMEA), manufacturing and validation of lyophilized products for oncology treatment. Then, she was responsible for research and process development focused on the synthesis of polymers in the field of drug formulation and delivery platform.
Project Development Manager
Carlo joined Zcube at the beginning of 2009.
Carlo has a degree in biochemistry and immunology from the ETH in Zürich where he also obtained his PhD in molecular pharmacology.
In 2000 he joined Zambon first as a senior researcher and later as the Biology Area Manager of the Drug Optimization Centre of Zambon Group located in Switzerland. In this position he managed pharmaceutical research projects in the field of anti-inflammatory, anti-infective and metabolic disorders in collaboration with international partners. Since 2009 Carlo is also responsible of the medical affairs department of Zambon Switzerland, sharing the time with his role in ZCube.
Technology Intelligence - North America
Andrea joined Zcube in 2008.
Previously, Andrea worked for over 12 years in innovation, knowledge management and emerging technology scouting with multinationals such as GSK, Telecom Italia, Wella and Zambon.
Andrea has access to innovative early-stage technologies and emerging medical practices through his relationships with research labs in universities such as Caltech, Carnegie Mellon, Yale, MIT, NYU, Princeton, Stanford, the University of California. He was formerly Executive Director of the World Institute for the Digital Economy and member of the European Steering Committee of the Knowledge and Innovation Management Professional Society. Prior to that he was visiting scholar at the Berkeley Roundtable on the International Economy at UC Berkeley. Andrea graduated in Economics of Innovation with a specialization in Business and Knowledge Audit at Università Cattolica of Milan where he then earned a Master in Management in the Network Economy, in conjunction with SIMS at UC Berkeley (now UC Berkeley School of Information).
